Sunshine

At DECA... Work together to plan parties and monthly events to bring joy to and appreciation for the DECA staff.  Also, organize condolences for staff members in a time of need.  Requires a receipt book because of dues collection. 

School Culture and Climate

At DECA... Work together to improve the overall atmosphere and environment of DECA by fostering positive and supportive settings for students, staff, (and families).  Possible areas of focus could be student well-being, staff well-being, and morale boosters.  Wonder what a survey of each target group – scholars and staff – would reveal?  

Cultural Arts

At DECA... Work together to enhance DECA's cultural awareness and promote our various staff and scholar cultures.  Highlight heritage months (e.g., Asian and Pacific Island in May).  Foster a sense of community, celebrate our diversity, and provide opportunities for students to explore and express their talents.

Scholar and Staff of the Month

At DECA...Work together to arrange all aspects of the monthly voting process to elect 9th and 10th graders of the month, as well as faculty and all other support staff of the month.  Update dedicated bulletin board monthly.  Coordinate with Principal Conner for a celebration of scholar winners for Fall ‘25 and Spring ‘26.
